Mac Speedo is a HyperCard stack that tests and shows the performance of your Macintosh when you push the Test buttons.
The scale shows how your Mac’s performance compares to that of standard Mac Plus, Mac SE, Mac II computers, as well as to Radius
16- and 25-MHz accelerators for the Mac SE (using 68020/68881 processors); the Novy/DayStar 25-MHz accelerator for the SE
(68020/68881, one-wait-state RAM), and the DayStar Digital
33/030 Accelerator II (68030/68882 with static RAM cache).
If the result isn’t as good as you expect it to be, there may be an INIT file or debugger that’s slowing things down. Moving the mouse, or having network or disk activity during the test, or disabling the Control Panel cache could make the results look worse, too…
